Update From Dr. Quirk
Kentucky Blue Grass
by Dr. Quirk

What would you think of single digit temperature accompanied by double
digit wind speeds?  Surely you would have to be lost and likely North of
the Red River.  This is my present plight.

My hope is that all of you have plunged full speed into "08" and are not
looking back, that you and yours are healthy, and that you make my boss
happy by employing her considerable skills to keep your horses healthy
and competitive.

I'm here slumming among the abject poverty stricken jet-setters that call
Lexington, Kentucky their weekend home.  Sherman once said that if he
owned both hell and Texas he'd live in hell and rent out Texas. My guess
is he never visited Kentucky.

Seriously I've been treated very well here and I'm optimistic that we will
develop a few pretty major horses under the Oxbow banners.  Watch for
"The Darp" this spring as we venture out onto the Derby trail.  If this
statement doesn't jinx him he could be a factor.

I really miss all of you at  Dr T's, both staff and clients, and wish all of you
the best. I hope to be back in the area this spring and will certainly stop
by the clinic with its new "sprawling" campus.   This is a jab at the
Hagyard Vet facility in Lexington as they describe themselves.

Your Friend,
Ken Quirk
